FAQs

  • Reflexology primarily helps to relieve tension in the body, allowing you to feel completely relaxed. It also helps promote relief for a range of ailments including pain, stress, anxiety and depression, headaches and migraines, stiffness in the back or neck, sinus problems in the eyes or nose, circulatory problems, high blood pressure, indigestion, and heartburn.

  • Yes and yes!! Reflexology is generally very relaxing. However, it can be painful at times and this is completely normal. The pain you should feel should be one associated with great soreness, and often occurs when the therapist presses on one of your reflex pressure points which corresponds to a body part that is experiencing significant imbalance.

If you feel excessive discomfort, please let your therapist know immediately so that they can adjust the pressure. Your enjoyment and comfort always come first.

  • Yes! We specialize in an acupressure style of body massage, but our therapists are trained in a variety of styles.

Choose from: relaxation with oil, deep tissue with oil, or point press without oil. Please let the front desk and your therapist know.

  • Please notify the front desk when making an appointment if you have high blood pressure, allergies, any physical ailments or disabilities, have been diagnosed or are being treated for any illness or disease, or if you are pregnant. Please book at your discretion. If you are hesitant, we ask that you do not come in and consult a doctor first. We do not provide medical advice or services. We are not a clinic.

  • An important part of massage is to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Even those that are meant to loosen tight muscles work best when the body is relaxed. To fully relax, please close your eyes, try to clear your mind, and focus on the massage. To mentally prepare yourself, please arrive early and turn off your phone. If you find it difficult to loosen up during a body massage, we recommend a short foot reflexology half session (25 mins) beforehand.

  • You may be among the majority who feel calm, relaxed, and revitalized. You may feel energetic or sleepy. Occasionally, some people feel nauseous, dizzy, or sore, but this is temporary and a part of the healing process.

To help the healing process, please drink plenty of fluids after your reflexology or massage session. Warm water or lightly-caffeinated tea is recommended, which will facilitate the elimination of toxins and help you remain hydrated.

  • It depends on your personal wellness goals, personal condition, and age. those with chronic conditions may benefit from bi-weekly or weekly sessions. Usually, the time between visits will increase, as your body begins to regain a state of natural balance and vitality. Monthly visits can help keep stress in check and build immunity. As a rule of thumb, sessions are shorter for elderly clients, very young clients, and clients with sensitive conditions.
